Instructor's Requirements
Purpose :
The purpose for these requirements is to ensure the Instructor has obtained a minimum rank and has proven sufficient knowledge, understanding, and ability in the Judo and Jiu-Jitsu being passed down from Sensei Matl and/or Sensei Haas. This is to also protect, preserve, and properly represent our system and style of Judo and Jiu-Jitsu.
Certificate/Rank Requirements :
To be authorized to instruct or represent the style of Judo or Jiu-Jitsu that is learned or obtained from Sensei Matl or Sensei Haas, the instructor must meet the Minimum Rank/Credentials Required listed below and must have the appropriate Certificate of Rank signed by either Sensei Matl or Sensei Haas.

If these requirements are not met, then any individual or instructor will not be recognized as instructing or representing our system or style of Judo and Jiu-Jitsu. Those individuals will not be supported by either Sensei Matl or Sensei Haas.
Minimum Required Rank/Credentials :
Sandan (3rd Dan Black Belt) :
Authorized to instruct and run a full program in his or her own school or gym without direct oversight or guidance from Sensei Matl and/or Sensei Haas. May promote students no higher than Shodan (1st Dan Black Belt).

Nidan (2nd Dan Black Belt) :
Authorized to instruct at an affiliate school or gym of Sensei Matl or Sensei Haas with occasional oversight and guidance from Sensei Matl and/or Sensei Haas. May promote students no higher than Ikkyu (1st Brown Belt).

Shodan (1st Dan Black Belt) :
Authorized to instruct directly within Sensei Matl's or Sensei Haas' active home school or gym with direct supervision from Sensei Matl or Sensei Haas. May promote students no higher than Nikyu (Purple or 2nd Brown), but after first recommending students for promotion to Sensei Matl or Sensei Haas.

Any rank below Shodan (1st Dan Black Belt) may only instruct directly within Sensei Matl's or Sensei Haas' active classes as an Assistant Instructor. Sensei Matl or Sensei Haas must be present in the school or gym during classes, unless directed by either Sensei.

White/Red Striped : 6th Degree - Rokudan, 7th Degree - Shichidan, 8th Degree - Hachidan
